Salary: $98k -120k CAD
Skills - Must Have:
  • Preparation of quarterly/annual tax provisions
  • Knowledge of tax accounting under IFRS
  • Experience filing Federal & Provincial corporate income tax returns
  • Exposure to tax forecasting, legislative research, and strategic tax initiatives
  • Experience preparing regulatory tax forecasts and submissions
  • Preparing documentation for CRA audits or other tax authorities
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP financial systems
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and financial reporting tools
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., SAP BI, Power BI)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially regarding tax-related disclosures
  • Must be a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada
  • CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or Mtax (highly desirable)

Requirements

  • CPA designation (Canada)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting/tax
  • At least 1 year of direct corporate tax experience
  • Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation (MTax) preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, corporate tax compliance, and planning
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and BI tools
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions and related disclosures
  • Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and journal entries
  • File corporate income tax returns and manage regulatory tax filings
  • Support tax audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Conduct tax forecasting and strategic tax planning
  • Research and analyze changes in tax legislation and their impact
  • Provide tax-related insights to internal teams and deliver presentations as needed
  • Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks
