Skills - Must Have:
  1. CPA
  2. 2 years of Public Accounting Experience in a firm (tax/audit)
  3. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and non-profits.
  • Assist with managing client engagements in tax and/or audit.
  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and non-profits.
  • Support financial audits for industries such as non-profits, low-income housing projects, and employee benefit plans.
  • Analyze financial trends and assist in preparing pro forma financial statements.
  • Conduct preliminary tax and audit research and draft client communications and memos.
  • Evaluate internal controls and help identify areas for improvement.
  • Build strong client relationships and maintain regular communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior staff by reviewing work and providing coaching support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • CPA designation preferred or in progress.
  • 3–5 years of experience in public accounting (tax and/or audit).
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a detail-oriented, hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Lacerte or Checkpoint a plus).
