8+ years of Canadian tax experience at another CPA firm in Canada
Experience in tax compliance, planning, returns, reorganizations and research
Current work experience at another CPA firm in Canada
Experience in managing a team of Tax staff at a CPA firm
Must be able to work hybrid in the North York office

Salary: 150k-179k

Skills and Experience: 
  • CPA designation required 
  • Completed the CPA In-Depth Tax or an MTax program  
  • 8+ years of relevant post-qualification experience within a public accounting environment
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the client’s business 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills 
  • Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth 
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills 
  • Experience communicating complex tax matters both verbally and written
  • The ability to complete complex tax memorandums would be an asset

Responsibilities: 
  • Lead client engagements across multiple sectors
  • Provide timely, high quality client service, meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Work closely with partners as a senior team member on tax planning work
  • Plan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns
  • Conduct and present tax research
  • Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff
  • Work with other office members in attracting new work to the firm
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities for team members
  • Manage time appropriately across multiple projects
