Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements for companies listed in the US or preparing for IPOs.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Support Engagement Quality Reviews by ensuring audit files are complete, accurate, and aligned with PCAOB standards.
  • Research and address technical accounting and auditing issues relevant to SEC reporting and cross-border audits.
  • Collaborate with senior audit team members on internal process improvements, technical updates, and firm training initiatives.
  • Participate in internal quality control activities, including pre-issuance reviews and post-engagement assessments.

  • CPA designation in good standing with a Canadian provincial accounting body (e.g., CPA BC, CPA Ontario).
  • 5–8 years of progressive public accounting experience, ideally with exposure to publicly listed clients or IPO readiness.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and PCAOB auditing standards.
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred due to client base.
  • Prior experience with cross-border audits or Asia–North America business is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities.
