2+ years of public practice experience, ideally in mid-to-large sized firms
Strong audit and review engagement experience
Solid understanding of ASPE and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS)
Experience preparing financial statements, working papers, and tax returns
Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience in public practice accounting including: audit experience, review experience, preparation experience and some compilation experience
CPA Designation or have written the CFE
BComm/BBA in Accounting or equivalent
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in CaseWare, Tax Prep and MS Office
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Spanish would also be an asset
Outstanding interpersonal skills with a talent to develop positive rapport and convey concepts and services to clients
Be detailed oriented and have strong analytical skills with both numbers and concepts
Strong understanding of assurance and accounting standards
